Welcome to Goddess Guru. A portal into what it means to be a goddess, woman, a mother, a spouse, a friend. A person on this planet with something to give and something to learn from everyone and everything around us. Goddess Guru is our way to connect with other like minded humans, seeking enrichment and knowledge for the body and soul.
Who are we? Laura S, Paris, Laura D, JenniLu. We are a collective of four women – from different walks of life and at different points in of our lives. These posts are the views of life through our eyes. The good, the bad, the fun, the adventurous. Each of us has a unique point of view and something to share with the world. Our intention is to provide inspiration through food, travel, life, love, and friendship. It’s an ever-changing journey of the mind and spirit.
Laura Swallow. A tech executive turned mostly, full-time mother. She now spends her days seeing life through Haven’s eyes, her two and half year old daughter, tapping into that beautiful, bright energy. Her deep love of cooking is fueled by husband, Andrew, Co-Founder of Mixt and Split, two local restaurant chains. In a bold move to create the life they envision, she and her family are embarking upon a multi-year international adventure to see the world, experience new cultures, and to try living a non-urban, nomadic lifestyle. Mama Bear will give you a perspective on little humans and all that we can learn from them, food, travel, motherhood.
Jennifer Lujan is a deep rooted philanthropist in every aspect of her life. After heading up and creating philanthropic arms for bay area companies, including Lyft, she founded Weed for Good. With this non-profit, she now spends her days helping terminally -ill patients get free access to cannabis as an alternative to harmful pain-killers. Jen is our witchy woman, deeply knowledgeable in spirituality, energy work and alternative medicines. The goddess of ceremonies, she reminds us to reconnect with our mind, body and spirit.
Laura Dewar is our resident design and architecture expert. Having worked on many high profile, luxury residential projects, this Pratt Institute grad is taking some time to reevaluate her career trajectory. After over a decade in New York City, she traded in her dresses and heels for San Francisco’s healthy living and athleisure style. Here she prefers the sound of waves crashing while her dogs run along the beach over the pumping music of nightclubs. Join her as she explores many powerful life transformations and pursues what brings joy to her life. She will share her insights on ‘growing up’ in your early thirties as she learns long overdue life/wife skills.
Paris Rouzati works at a venture firm in San Francisco. Her deep Persian roots have introduced all of us to a new flavor of food, family, and art. Paris’ two loves are her fiancé Ryan and her beautiful husky Luna. This Wolf is hunting this planet for the best of the best – beauty, fashion, and travel. She loves traveling and talking to strangers, and is constantly curious about how technology can be better used to facilitate transformative experiences and connections. Her posts will bring you fresh views on being a spiritual girl in a material world…oh and she’ll also be taking lots of photos and videos along the way.
So, here we are. We invite you on our journey of adventure, friendship, love, and learning. Just as we are unique in our own way, we truly believe that all women are goddesses in their own right and have much to give to the world. Join us and release your inner goddess.
